We are based on Oakleigh Road North and most of our people live locally. If a neighbour, a community group, a school or a charity in and around Barnet, Whetstone or Arnos Grove needs practical help with a building job, tell us about it.

What we can help with
We cannot promise to take on every request, but we will gladly help where:
- the job is within reasonable means for our team;
- we have people available to do it; and
- it needs no licence, permission or certification, so no gas work, no electrical work that has to be certified, no structural alterations and nothing that needs planning permission or building control approval.
The kind of thing we can often help with: a small repair at a community centre or school, fixing a fence or a gate, tidying an outdoor space, patching and painting, or putting up shelving. There is no charge for our time.
We focus on Barnet and the neighbourhoods around our base: Barnet, Whetstone, Arnos Grove, Friern Barnet, New Southgate, Finchley, Totteridge, East Barnet, Southgate.
Emergencies: if you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. For anything dangerous, call 999. Council and housing association tenants should report repairs to their landlord first.
