Residents
Working in people's homes, and around them
Much of our work happens in occupied homes and blocks. We plan it so that residents stay informed, stay safe and can get on with their lives while we work — in Islington we refurbished an occupied block without moving a single resident out.
Before we start
We agree with the landlord how residents will be told about the works — what will happen in their home, when, and who to contact — so nobody is taken by surprise.
Someone to talk to
Every job is run by an AGL site manager who residents can speak to directly, and we make sure they know how to reach us throughout the works.
Respect for the home
Our teams protect floors and belongings, keep work areas safe and tidy at the end of every day, and keep noise and disruption to a minimum. We treat every home as if it were our own.
Households who need extra support
Where the landlord tells us a household needs extra support, we plan the works around them — from appointment times to keeping essential facilities available while the work is under way.
Putting things right
If something goes wrong, we want to hear about it straight away. Concerns go to the site manager and the office, are dealt with promptly, and the landlord is kept informed.
